I have an almost complete Mitchell arms AK-22. Kind of a cool little gun but I don't know anything about it. From what I can tell, I am missing most of the bolt assembly. Everything else is there. The problem I am having is finding information and parts. I have checked the big gun parts guys and they don't have any help for me. Does anyone have any info that could help me put this thing together? should I look at trading it off for something else? can the reciever be used to complete a legal AK? Anything would help. Its just collecting dust.

Thanks

I have one too, it is a blast to shoot.  Cheap to shoot and fun.  My first ever firearm purchase.  You are SOL when it comes to buying parts for it.  I have tried every avenue to find parts for it.  I bought a firing pin for mine, and then Mitchell went out of business.  Tapco has a recoil spring. Numerich has some Jager AP-80 (AR-15 clone) parts but I am not sure how much is interchangeabe if any?  If you can't find any parts I might be interested in buying it for spare parts.  I will look and see if I still have the old firing pin if that will help.  I have a manual for it too with schematics, I would be willing to share with you. The reciever has a cover over it so when you take out those little screws it comes off and you can see the real reciever.  So I don't think you could make a real AK out of it.

Sorry it is the AP-15 that has some parts interchangeable.  Looks like the bolt is not though.
