www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/Romanian_STG-2000C_7.62x39_Rifle.html I have not seen this before. Are these any good? |
I would imagine it would accept any stamped receiver AK stock, FWIW. |
| I dont know. I dont like the buttstock on it but at the same time, the forend looks pretty bad ass. The sights on the rifle look to be different than the standard AK sights (the front one anyways) wouldnt that help the crappy site problems that I have heard plague some romanian AK's? |
It looks like it has a SKS front site |
I think they could manage to get that one canted just like a regular AK sight. |
my bad, what I intended to ask is are they from Century Arms or someone else
|
InterOrdnance is the importer. Receivers are made at the Cugir arsenal in Romania. These come in as single-stack guns and are converted (presumably by IO) to accept double stack mags once they get stateside. The gas block/front sight combo is from the AIM carbine (sort of a Romanian Krink equivalent), and the furniture and trigger group are US made. The STGs I've handled in person were actually fairly impressive. The magwell conversion was clean, and the parts fit and finish were nicer than any WASR I've ever seen. |
