Sure we always hear about the bad, but how about the good for a change? I know many people are interested and theres always a question about them. So lets get out the positives. Pictures appreciated as well

Here's a pic of mine

I've been real happy with it so far.

I've only had one little problem. It seems the slide on the rear sight was put on backwards. It would slide, but would not lock into place. But with a little help from the guys on this site, I had it off and turned around in no time. No it works like it was intended.

I didn't think it was a big enough problem to warrant sending back.

I bet....have you been ammo whoring or mag whoring while you wait though?  That seems to help...until you get all that stuff and can't use it

Any more? Really nice looking rifles btw. This thread is basically for me and others who are at the vector v.s. lancaster stage and since at every other thread everybody gets on lancasters case for a number of things, I want to hear the other side of the story too. Unless vector does deserve the treatment of the God of 500$ AK companies...i'll let you guys decide

little of both LOL

If I have to wait much longer, I might have to go out and run a few hundred rounds through the SKS...

Well I just went with the polish lancaster 1.6mm receiver underfolder.

$699 already purchased now the dreaded waiting..
How long does it norm to get to your FFL dealer?
They had 2 left and I got one. Lets just hope its not canted.. But hey LIFETIME WARRANTY cant beat that. But still there should be nothing wrong with it for what Im paying.

Vector vs Lancaster. I might after to buy a Vector later on and see which I like better. I hear vector no longer chromes their barrels. So only lancaster now.

Will post pics once I get maybe next tuesday im guessing ?
I think im going to buy 12 of those assorted cosmo covered mags that sg has for sale and 1000 rd case of wolf ammo ahead of time.

You shouldn't have to worry about cant on your Lancaster.  Once mine actually got shipped it was to my FFL in something like 2 or 3 days.

Question that I, as well as others are probably wondering right now. NEW vector stuff, or lancaster? It seems vector has lost something that is keeping them high up on the chain with the chrome lined barrels. And another important question...will a lancaster buyer have to worry as much as some people make it seem?

Not directed at you TGorsk

Some of you guys are worry warts.  Seriously...you guys are no better than CNN, MSNBC, ABC, etc.....

Only hashing on the bad while never talking about the good.  How many Lancaster's are out there now?  How many have had problems?  They're backed by a lifetime warranty and you get chrome lined goodness.  Between the Vector and the Lancaster the only differences I see are Lancaster's warranty is better and they have chrome lined barrels.  That was enough for me to get mine.

So there is no cant on most of their rifles?

I just no if I go to resale the rifle the first thing the person will say
$100 off because of the canted barrel and I will buy. I dont want to hear that when I go to sell it.(if I ever do)

Well I haven't heard of any canted Lancasters yet....but that's not saying they aren't out there.

Like if the barrel was not lined in right. Or the front site was not put on straight that is "canted" The site can be fixed easly. But the barrel no.. Not for me anyways hehe

Any experience with their Romanian kits? It seems thats what the more popular models are in (or most looked after, as they are similar to Vectors?)

All company's that build AK rifles can produce a problem ed unit , do not freak out , it happens in life that mistakes are made, the good news is that both of us ( Atlantic ) & Lancaster take pride in what we sell and will be glad to replace , refund or repair the unit in the first week. We will even cover return shipping up to $20 bucks for the the rifle , both companys try to make the problem be as easy & painelss as possible . Lancaster builds a great rifle, beautiful finish and backed up by a Lifetime Warranty, that is why we sell more of their AK rifles than any of the other manufactureres.

I do not have any personal experience with the Romanian kits, though from what I've heard they can be a bit rougher than the polish kits.
