As I posted I just bought this earlier today. When the dealer got it out the box I noticed when he opened and slammed the bolt (no mag) it would hang up some when pulled back and released. Not being familiar with the gun didn't pay any attention to it.
I took it apart and it was pretty clean except the barrel and oiled it some. It still seems to want to hang up when the bolt is pulled back and released alot of the time.
Is this normal or do I have a problem.

BTW are all the triggers that light and touchy. Its almost scary,

Sounds normal for a new gun. Putting a few hundred rounds through it will smooth it out.

Pull the charging handle all the way back and release.  The bolt should slam home.  Do not ride the bolt carrier with your hand.

The bolt carrier rides over the hammer as it moves forward and back.  You can get the bolt carrier to stop on the hammer, but it will not stay if you bump the rifle.

This is normal.

Are you completely releasing the bolt or "riding" it back? Mine as well as alot of others will hang halfway when riding the bolt back. Probably all that's needed is a good breaking in or some filing.

Damn late again.

Some breakfree seems to be helping.

How about the trigger. Its is really light almost scary compared to my 2 stage AR.

I know this doesn't help you, but... do these have chrome lined barrels?

no chrome lined barrels. and the riding is normal, shoot it a little and it will do it less and less.

I like to rebuild cutup kits of the original M70AB2 AK's as they are as close to the original weapons without the ATF frowned upon full auto switch and associated parts. They may not look as nice as Century's guns, but they have the original hammer forged barrels which are good for many 10's of thousands of rounds and are 100% functional all the time. I want originals. Century delivers pretty rifles that have functional problems. Sorry to hijack the thread......

?

I actually here that most people are pleased with the Century Yugo rifles. I hate the grey park that all the mass production manufactures use though.

I have a Century M70AB and it has become one of my favorites among my four girls from the dark-side.  The bolt hangs if you ride the charging handle but does not hang if you let go once its pulled all the way back.  The G2 FCG is smooth as silk and not too light on the pull.

Where can I get a set of those black hand guards?

Sorry to hijack...I have the same gun and love it. Yes it can hang up if not cycled like it was shot. This is my first and damn these are fun...
