New AK guy here. Picked up a new Century M70 underfolder a few weeks back. Took it out and shot it for funciton test and all went well.

Took it back out today to dial it in. I am hitting about 6" left at 40-50 yards. I drifted the sight to the point where the right side is flush and the left side drift rod sticks out about .080-.100". I am still hitting about 3-4" left.

Is this normal. I will need to drift the sight over even more to zero. Is there something amiss?

Thanks,

This is not normal. Gun suffers from canted front sight base syndrome.

Yep, that is not normal.  Most likely culprit is a canted front sight block.  If that looks straight, then check the rear sight leaf and rear sight block for cant.  I feel your pain, I had a Century WASR that did that same thing to me.  It turned out to be a problem with the rear sight block.  There was no easy fix.  Lucky for me, the place I bought it from let me return it.

OK so now I have "canted front sight syndrom or other ailment. I will set it up in my gun rest later this week to look for alignment issues front and back.

What is the fix for this. Just drift it to zero and live with it or is there something a more qualified person can do to fix. Can't return...

make sure the rear sight leaf is not bent, lay it out on a table and eyeball it for a plumbline, see if it groups well or it may be a hitch in your shooting
