Anybody have any pictures of their Lancaster Consulting underfolder that they can share?  The laminate fixed stock pics I have seen look nice but it is hard to tell if the handguards on the underfolders are as nice.  I am narrowing down my choices and some pics of the underfolder would help.  Thanks for your help...I am hoping to make my decision soon.

I'm interested in one of these rifles too. How do they compare to the Vectors? What is the going rate, and who is selling them?

I just picked up my LC PU from Atlantic Firearms and it is pretty nice.  It has a few quirks, typical of kit builds but I would say recommend you check them out.  I like it and it is fun to shoot.

Not to get my own post of topic but...what kind of quirks have you experienced?

I would appreciate it if somebody could provide some pictures of their Lancaster underfolder.  If you are unable to post in this thread, please email or IM me so that we can exchange some pics.

Nothing major, the selector lever is way too tight and the sight is all the way right to zero POA/POI.  The gas tube rattles, but it doesn't have the spring loaded tensioner so that is not a big deal.  Typical AK really.

I'll try to post some pics after the range today.

We are large distributors for both Vector & Lancaster , at this point we would suggest the Lancaster units over the Vector's, we feel the finish is better, lifetime warranty, recoil buffer, & ships out from us in a rifle case, so you get a few more bells n whistles, they are also building for us Polish folders on the 1.6 mm rec and in the future we will have milled Polish folders.

I could be mistaken but here's the same gun (Lancaster built, but with a 1mm receiver) from Arms of America priced at $629.

Unfortunately, I was hoping to get some better pics than the ones posted on vendor sites.  In particular, I am hoping to see a more detailed/up close picture of the handguards.  Thanks!

Damn, that does look nice. I was planning on buying a Vector, but the one thing I didn't care for was the finish. That Lancaster looks much better IMHO.

I see now that the web price at Atlantic is $629. Will the Arfcom discount be on top of this low price?

Just to be clear, the version I purchased was the 1.6mm version.  It is more expensive than the 1mm version.  I felt the extra thickness would be important in an under-folder.

I'm not a big fan of underfolders, but that is one nice looking gun!  How does she shoot?

Bud,

Quite well.  I'd rate it second only to my AK 103 by Chris Butler.  I've been putting 10 rounds into a 3 7/8 x 3 7/8 Post It note at 82 ft (25 meters) regularly.  I've been able to get 6-7 rounds into the same target at 50 yards.   The trigger has just a little more creep (double-hook Tapco) and breaks just a touch less well than the AK 103.  The sight, as I mentioned, is all the way right to zero it.  I can't shoot any better unless it is an M1A with a peep sight.

Would I buy another?  Yes.  There's nothing like a nice under folder, so compact, yet still a real rifle when you need it.  I think the chrome lining and 1.6mm is better than the Yugos, but that's just me.
