ok i had some trouble getting my hammer pin out, luckily i got through it.

right now the g2 is completely installed with rsa retainer plate.

but i cant get my selector to go down past the sear, i tried nudging it and tapping on it with a hammer and punch. i'm stumped.

i have to put selector in last due to the retaining plate.

please advise.

thanx guys

i still havn't been able to figure this out.

i tried taking out trigger pin, putting in selector and then re-inserting trigger pin. the retaining plate will not let the trigger pin seat fully.

the piece on my selector that hits the sear doesn't look like the one on the rommy site with instructions.

i'm assuming that i need to grind something.

Ok first off try it without the retaining plate. I mean put the safety in and then the triggergroup. If the safety will engage then your problem is the stupid retaining plate (waste of money) If it is not then it is time to grind on the safety.

Replace the retaining plate with a 7/32 E clip that is available at any hardware store for about 3 cents. It goes in and clips on to the slot on the pivot pins.

Should be able to pull the trigger back as in firing and while holding it in that position take a finger and press the disconnector down against its spring, then rotate the selector down and it will clear.

I just tried this and it works.

So.  How did your wife do it?

well i was tapping on it with a blunt screw driver and hammer and left it stuck.

she said she just pushed it then gave it some slack and then pushed again.

i'm glad it's in, yet i still feel kinda'

i got my new lower hg trimmed and installed. i drilled a hole in the front behind the hole for the cleaning rod and put in a screw. it isn't absolutely necessary but i wanted to try and take all the wabble out of the front end, it worked good. i'm recharging my dremmel to finish up my buttstock.
