I have been searching for info on this rifle. Anyone have one of these? How do they compare to the Arsenal. I would like to know the source of the parts. I have a good deal on one of these, a couple of hundred dollars cheaper than an Arsenal milled underfolder. I am in the market for a milled underfolder and this seems to be the only game in town other than the Arsenal. I know Vector has a good rep, so I am not worried about the function of the gun, but would like some opinions before I order one. |

I cannot comment on the milled underfolder model vector makes, but i do own the milled fixed stock model. They come built on Bulgarian slr-100 receivers and are very high quality rifles. I sent Vector an e-mail about the source of the parts and all they could tell me was they got the receivers along with a bunch of other parts that they purchased from a previous owner, so they didn't know the origin of the parts. My dealer claimed that the barrel assembly was Russian, but i see no arsenal marks to back this claim up. I don't have an arsenal rifle to compare the vector to, but i can tell you that the vector was well worth the high price i paid. If you found an underfolder, i would jump on that. It is the best quality AK i own and its also my favorite. |

I just received one from Vector today. Here is what I can confirm. It is a Gordon Technologies milled receiver. I have the version with wood furntiture. There is a Vector Arms along with the serial number on the left side of the receiver. Gordon Technolgies is on the bottom of the receiver in front of the mag well. SLR... and Ar... are noticeable where the unfolder stock is connected to the receiver. The rest of the information is covered up by the underfolder stock connection to the receiver. Overall there is very little import, additional info that is on the receiver. It is very clean looking. I do not know what parts set is used other than it appears new. The parkerizing is very good on the rifle, no canted site. The build appears very good. The serial numbers from the parts appear to be all matching starting with BMH and the reciver serial number starts with mrxxxx. I have a Arsenal SAM7A1 and this gun is everybit the build quality of the arsenal. The only differnce is that the Arsenal has a painted finish and the Vector has a parkerized finish. The Vector has a removable 14 mm lug nut , and accepts a bayonet. The gun came with one 30 round mag and an instruction book. I got mine at near wholesale and for the difference in the arsenal milled underfolder, I feel the Vector is a winner. I will post additional info when I take it out to the range. Given the retail at near $1000.00 can I recomend this over an Arsenal at nearly $1100.00, yes. Vector is top notch and their warrenty is worth taking a chance on this gun. This gun feels rock solid with little or no play in the folder. |
| Vector AKs are FANTASTIC rifles.......I have owned Krebs KTR-03s(2), Robarms VEPRs(2), and when I bought my Vector(which also was the cheapest of the bunch $500 for a side folder) I sold everything else I had...I feel they are THAT GOOD, for the money you spend the quality and customer service, I feel is just as good and in some even better than the higher priced AKs I had owned.....go Vector you WILL NOT be disappointed |
