I have a stamped receiver.  I am planning on replacing my factory single hook trigger FCG  with a G2 trigger FCG.  Should I go with a single or double hook FCG?  Any advantages of one over the other.  Thanks in advance.

The double hook wont work unless you have the necessary cuts in your receiver.  Or, you could cut the second arm off, but I doubt you want that.  Go with the single hook.

Thanks for the input.  I was kind of guessing that.  Appreciate it.

YAY!  The search works!  (this was the exact topic I was about to post, but I searched first)

Is there any difference in performance between the double and single hook triggers?  Will this "G2" group smooth out the trigger pull?  Does a "standard" CAI WASR-10 already have this "G2" group?  Am I correct to assume that single hook work in all receivers and double hook only works in certain receivers?  How can I tell which receiver I have?

I replaced the single hook FCG in my SAR 2 with a double hook FCG.  I used a Dremel to remove a little material to accommodate the double hook.  It was easy and looks great.  The idea of a double hook just seems better to me.

I can answer two of your questions:  first, in my experience the G2 smooths out the trigger and provides about a 4-5 pound pull.  Second, look at your receiver right in front of the trigger and you will probably see a single slot to the right front of the trigger. That would indicate a single hook trigger.

This is a receiver cut for a single hook trigger.  One made for a double hook trigger will have another notch where the tip of the punch points.

Milled receivers, Chinese receivers and Global Trades/Armory USA receivers will take double hook FCG for the most part. Just flip your rifle over and check the notches.

I put double hook FCGs in receivers cut for them. Single in ones cut for single.  I don't notice any difference between the two when using a TAPCO G2 FCG.

Either single or double hook will work. Just cut an extra slot into the receiver for the extra hook on the double hook trigger. Really easy to do with a Dremmel cut off wheel.

Be sure to install the sleave that comes with the kit. It won't work w/o it.

is there a chance that the CAI WASR-10 already has this G2 group?

Take off the top cover, remove the bolt assembly, and look at the trigger group. Should say Tapco if Tapco or have a "C" on it if Century.

When the new Wasr10's with the threaded barrels & bayo lug 1st came out, some were shipped with G2 triggers.

If it is a TAPCO FCG it will be marked as such on the hammer, trigger and disconnector.  On one set I have it is on the left side of the trigger and left side of the hammer and can be seen while in the rifle.

I have a WASR-10. It had a single hook in it. I bought a double - hook and installed it. All i had to do was cut a knotch. It was easy and near impossible to screw up. It fuctions fine now. Id go with the double and cut the groove.

I'm about to replace the FCG in mine, and was wondering if there was any advantage of going with a double-hook over a single-hook?  The reciever is setup for a single hook right now.  Thanks for any info/help!
