[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Stock questions

While I've had some variant of an AK for numerous years I've never gotten into modifying them in any way. Well, that has changed and I'm looking to change out the stock in addition to adding a rail for an Aimpoint but have several questions.

1) Where do you attach the sling on the sidefolding Ak stocks such as the KVAR? stock

2)If I order one of the stock sets from KVAR; do I need to buy any other parts to go with it (new grip screws, etc)? The stock will be going on a WASR.

You will need the 2 screws for the rear receiver tang to install it and the screw nut and bushing for the pistol grip.If your rifle already has these you should be able to use them with the new hardware and furniture.

Thanks for the info on the screws. How about where the sling attaches on the folders?

Usualy like on an underfolder theres a swivel on the left side of the underfolders assembly on the side folder.I guess on the stock just loop it through the hollow inside or attach a swivel to the pistol grip like a paratropper M1 carbine.

There is a sling mount on the other side of the Kvar stock. Here is a picture of that stock on my SAR-1 where you can see the sling mount:
