I'm seeing lots more guys from WV here latley.. Where you from? I'm n the Wheeling area. I have a M78, stamped receiver. Got it 3 years ago for Christmas, cost was $1800. It;s the prize of my collectio, and I want more Valmets, but I can crap in one hand, and... You know the rest..

I am in Wardensville, I think I better find a cheaper semi-auto .308, these things are expensive!

Some guy at a gunshow in Ohio I attended had one for $1400 that a great price now that i really look into it.  Most of them go for more than $2000

Whatever you do, DON"T buy a gun with one mag with PLANS to pick up some more mags later.  You'll pay over $200ea for them and you'll find about 1-2 for sale per year.  Pay a bit more up front and get a gun with several mags.

The only thing worse then trying to obtain 78 .308 mags is trying to locate 76 .308 mags.
