What is a good hard case for an AK-47 with a full stock?

Thanks,
Tony

If you want the best or need an airline approved case, then check the usual suspects...Pelican, Starlight, etc.

If you just want a general purpose case, you can just go to your local sporting goods store and pick up whatever they have.

I would really like to stay around $100 is possible - airline approved does not matter but I would like interlocking foam.

You guys think this case would fit my AK nicely? Have any other Pelican case suggestions?

Inside Dimensions: 35.88"L x 13.88"W x 1.75"H Lid over 3.50"H Base

(I pick up the gun on the 3rd so I have not measured it yet - but I would like to have the case before I get the gun)

Just go to Wally World and get yourself a Doskocil case for around $10-15.  I paid $60 once for a rifle case and to tell you the truth it doesn't do anything the $15 case won't do.  They have interlocking foam in them.  I don't plan to run off any bridges so I don't need it to float.

God forbid, a Kalifornia style ban happens where you live.  If you had airtight gun cases you wouldn't be able to use the (my guns fell out of my canoe) excuse.

If that happens in TEXAS, we are all SOL!  The case I was referring to does have three locking holes , one on each end and one in the middle.  Cost me $13 at Wally World.

I just got one of the Bren Barrel bag repros from Sportsmans Guide for the same reason.  Great minds think alike.

I use this for my underfolder, an M60 "padded" barrel bag.  Comes with a sling and two outside pockets for mags, bayo, cleaning kit, grenade launcher and rounds, etc.  Also one of these padded ones has held my folding stock scoped 10/22 with mags and ammo for the last 25+ years.  16" barreled version 10/22 that is.  If anyone wants one I know where to get "un-padded" ones for $20 each.  It is made of a rubberized material, water resistant.
