Well, I just ordered a Smith vortex flash hider for a SAM7 carbine. When I talked to the rep over the phone, he was very professional and polite, and was very patient in answering my questions. I asked him if the unit needed to have loctite put on it and he said no. Because of the left hand turn, if I install it and screw it on tightly, merely shooting the firearm will tighten the vortex flash hider even further. I thought this was interesting.
