I already have one of the c clamp sight tools for adjusting the windage on my Vector Classic.  Can anyone suggest a tool for adjusting the front sight post (up or down) for elevation?

thanks,

Did your rifle come with a cleaning kit?  Maybe in the buttstock trapdoor?  If so there should be one in there.  On most of the c-clamp type tools, the other end of the T-handle is machined for your front sight.  If not try some needle nose pliers.

The end of the screw on your sight clamp should be drilled and slotted for adjusting the elevation post.

If you have the Tapco model it will probably bend the first time you use it. Mine sure did.

You guys are right,  the end of the screw for the c-clamp is slotted to fit the front sight post.  You saved me several dollars as my next step would be the buy a pair of needle nose pliers.

thanks,
