Looking for another ak and the local shop has the SAM 5 G 223, wanted another 7.62x39. The 223 is awfully nice but I really dont like that caliber in an Ak. What do you guys think, anybody have info on the 223? It is $679.00 seems like a good price. |
Thats a good deal on the Sam-5, and being that you already have a 7.62x39 caliber, I would jump on that deal they suppost to stop making these from what I understand. You cant go wrong buying a Arsenal product either. I'm sure Bud or someone else will chime in later with some more detailed info.By the way I have a Sam-5 GREAT gun. |

A SA M-5G for $679.00? BUY IT! That's an excellent price. He must have had this one in his inventory for a while! Do you presently have an AK in .223? I used to think the way you do now. I can only say I wish I had "discovered" the .223 (in the AK platform) a long time ago. You'll love this rifle.  Bud |
| I got one of the last that my dealer could find. BUY IT! Very accurate, the only draw back was that mags were hard to find, but Kvar has them in stock (for now). These are no longer being produced so the value can only go up. Also .223 is easy to find, even when you cant get 7.62X39 you'll be able to have ammo for one of your AK's. |
