Anyone work up loads for a Drag or a PSL?
I have a new to me PSL, and have found the following.
Any Hungarian light ball=sucks.
Russian E code light ball=good, with a occasional flier.
Russian 7N1=slightly better than the E, but without fliers.
Czech silver tip=inbound, will try this weekend.
I have dies, but am asking what loads worked for you.
Brass, powder, primers, velocity.
Thanks,
Milton

Have your barrel slugged to see what the actual diameter is. If its close to .308 there are way more good bullets/weights you can use vs .311

I've had good luck with the Polish light ball and excellent results with Hungarian heavy ball (174gr.).

Wolf 148gr. shoots very nicely but the brass cased Yugo 182gr. stuff sucked.

I have some Hungarian heavy ball. Silver over yellow tip. I have to pound the bolt open on every MN I have tried it in. I will not be trying this in the PSL. I might pull the bullets to shoot in the Enfields.

He's right. Heavy ball will beat up your PSL. Use light ball.
Mine likes Czech silvertip fine. I ordered another case today since its cheap. My MN's love it too. Perfect functioning and more accurate than I am so far.
