I made the mistake of using my local gunsmith to mount a Bushmaster AK74-type flash suppressor on my AK47 (Romanian).  He is 85 years old and I guess his eye/hand coordination is a bit weak as he bent the suppressor "slightly" as well as mounted it 180 degrees out of proper timing (ports sideways).   I need to have this removed and due to his pinning it on I may lose the portion of the barrel that is bunged up.   I need recommendations for a longer flash suppressor (akin to the one used on the CAR M-16 variant used in Vietnam perhaps) so I can get the needed 16" when mounted (prefer threaded mount with silver solder).

People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

It seems like he should be able to just pull the suppresser and rotate, repin and straighten it out....is it that bad? I would start looking for a new gunsmith. If he can no longer put on a flash supressor
