Hi, I need some help identifying my Ak I would like to changes the stock of my Ak to something like this AK47/MAK-90/Maadi Fiberforce Stock but first I have to know what kind of receiver i have. somebody said milled so i made a few photos of my AK Whats with the Lower tang ???? when i check this site none of the receivers have it . My AK47 pictures So can you identifying this AK and will the stock, I mentioned above fit my AK any help will be appriciated Alex Leenstra |

Hi Alex- Nice rifle. Hungarian. I've got one just like it only somebody cut the middle part of the receiver out. Do you really dislike the wooden buttstock? It's your rifle, of course, but I think it would be a shame to spoil its classic lines with one of those aftermarket stocks. I don't know anything about your firearms laws in the Netherlands. Is it difficult to own a full- automatic AK-47 there? May I ask what you'd pay to buy one? It's very expensive here in the U.S. |

Hi, It's not allowed to have a automatic gun in Holland, so mine is a single shot and i bought it for 350 euro that's about 463,37 US Dollar Does your version have a lower tang because the versions i found on the web don't And i would' like to have a second stock because it's very easy to replace but there's not much choise on the internet that ship to Holland and i wan't to be sure it fit's without major changes to my gun Alex L |

Yes, my Hungarian has two tangs. Having both an upper and a lower stock tang is the "classic" configuration for milled receiver AK-47's. MAK-90's and a lot of the newer Bulgarian milled receiver rifles (SA-93, SLR-95, etc.) are single-tang. Many Americans install lower tangs onto their Bulgarian rifles in order to make them appear more like the original AK-47's. I don't know if that Fiberforce stock will fit or not. Can you say what mods were done to make your rifle a single shot? Blocked gas system? |

I was gonna say Hungarian. IIRC only Hungary and Russia made their milled AK's use a barrel that screws into the receiver. Thats definately not a Russian gun... so I vote Hungarian. |
According to the reference manual I have, it could be either Hungarian or it could be from the German Democratic Republic. |
