I just bought a WASR-10 a couple days ago, had its first outing at the range today, put about 200 rounds through it with no problems at all, very fun gun to shoot, and I must say this is my first time shooting besides about one clip of ammo through my friends AR. It wasnt windy at all, but I was hitting the target on the right, and now I realize the front sight is slighty off center, I read that the cylinder can be tapped to move, but I tried this with a very small hammer, and nothing. Am i doing somthing wrong or is it just stuck?

I had to beat on mine pretty good with a hammer.  I don't recomend it if you're the type of guy who cares about markes on your rifle.

There is a tool out there for it that works like a clamp, but I've never used one.

+1 Buy one of these tools. It will make your life much easier, and you can use the T-handle to adjust elevation too.

A small C clamp and a socket extension can be used in a pinch if you have that laying around.

I tried that, but I bent 2 clamps.  It works fine now that I've loosened it up with a hammer.

Funny how the hammer is a recurring tool of use on the AK....
