WHAT should someone expect to pay for an underfolding AK

Nothing special, just want something with a threaded muzzle.  Dont even care if it has a bayo lug.

The century M70AB2 can be had for around $400 if you act quickly

Ahhhh - the elusive Poly Tech double underfolder.  I've never seen one of those in person, just on the internet.  About the only thing more elusive Chinese is the Type 88 AK74 clone!

I thought the type 56 was the elusive

There's probably more registered NFA type 56's than those double underfolders.

I have to agree with spartan.  I just picked up one of the Vector underfolders this afternoon at a funshow.  This baby is nice!  Good fit/finish, and a 5 year guarantee.  I can't wait to shoot it.
