| Has anyone had one of their builds? They seem to have reasonable prices and turn arounds. Thanks. |

www.mcarms.com We've just gotten started. I'll leave the rest to others. If you have any questions for me about the shop or prices or anything just IM or email me. You can also check out the MO forums, I'm the moderator there and I'm constantly posting pics of the shop and work we are doing. |

They are building my AKS-74U (Krink) right now. K-Var Parts Set Firing Line Milled Receiver I've had excelent work done by JNewt and Chris Butler in the past. This time I opted to go with the new guy on the block. So far I am very pleased with the work. Mike is easy to talk to and will go out of his way to get you what you want. |
We are in Holden but there is not always someone in the shop I live in KC Mike is in Holden and Erik is in the STL area... If you wish to visit the shop give us an e-mail or an IM to either myself or Mike and we would be glad to arrange a tie for you to visit the shop. We all have regular jobs too so like I say we are not always there with any luck at all perhaps we can give up the idea of working for someone else for the rest of our lives and just work in the shop we are not yet setup for retail but can order anything and Mike loves to gab with folks!

I met Mike at the Concordia Missouri Gun range this past week, and all I have to say is that their builds are amazing! Great quality, and friendly guys to deal with. I was impressed with their knowledge and level of professionalism. The next AK I buy WILL be a Missouri Custom Armament firearm! Thanks again Mike for helping me with my AK! |
Just got an update from Mike. My Krink should be done anyday now.

Ok thats cool. I'm having IGF do a milled Russian build I talked to you about, then send it to you guys for some bluing. |
This is a Yugoslav barrel one of the bottom run laid in a salt bath pitted rusted barrel off one of my kits I spun it in the lathe and polished the lands then ran it on the buffer it sat for a couple months Until I had time to setup the Bluing rig, this piece and a bent blank receiver the receiver was just blasted with 80grit and allowed to run nowhere near long enough and it came out a Dark Very flat Black..

Looks good. I'll definately being sending the rifle to you guys once IGF gets it assembled. |

Meyerse: send us your compete Yugo and $150 and we'll reblue it for you. Its $25 more than the Moly because the tanks cost more to operate every time we fire them up. Blued underfolders make me happy inside, I'm going to do a PKMS for myself in a nice blue when I get the time. I meant to take some pics of an ancient bolt action Savage .410 shotgun we resurrected in the bluing tanks, but on the day we shot clays with it I left the memory stick out of my digicam. Maybe next time. Chris_1522: If you have a Tantal kit we can provide everything else, assuming we can get 5.45 recievers (everyone is running low it seems). MDN: The Bulgy is now officially the smoothest shooting 5.45 AK I've ever fired, but the next project may beat it, since its on a milled receiver. The Bulgy ships tomorrow. I'll be sad to see it go, but its officially done and now other projects need to be completed: ![]() For those who are IM'ing me, if you would please email [email protected] it sure would help us keep things organized. |
Thanks Mike Cant wait to get it :) |
Yup, that's the plan. When we put together the shop I had visions in my head of building nicely blued AKs on the European AKM pattern, since nobody else does that. We've blued some Romanian barrels as a test and I think the concept is valid. You don't realize how nice they can look until you put some time into one, its like seeing a nicely restored '78 TransAm. You are so used to looking at rusted out hulks with damaged fenders and faded paint that when you see one that's been restored it really wows you. I think we are so used to seeing AKMs in scratched up oven paint that a nicely blued underfolder will really wow people. |
