So I am about to get my first AK pistol thanks to a member here, and I was wanting to ask a quick question.

I can just see some of the bubbas at the rifle range I shoot at coming up to me and saying: "That thing ain't legal is it" ? I wanted to know what knowledge (or paperwork) I should be armed with to answer all of those inquiries that are sure to come my way.

How do YOU respond to that question when you get asked ?

Thanks.

"It's a pistol"

"Here, look at the rear of the receiver.  Do you see a way to attach a buttstock?"

"It's a pistol, now get out of my face before I pistol whip you."

No rear butt stock, no front pistol grip, now go search the ATF law yourself.
You may think I'm David Koresh, but I think your Elmer Fudd.

Nice.

So the specific 'legalese' I could throw down is:

No front pistol grip, No rear butt stock.

Anything else, or does that pretty much cover it ?

That's it. Keys are no places to mount the buttstock or front pg. So an AMD65 rear trunion needs a plate welded over it, and the front handguard can not be a TDI railed item.

No SBR forms or fees, and no rifle US parts count
