Finally ready to purchase the receiver and trigger group but who has the best deal and which brand to go with.......Blackwell industries, Global Trades, Ewbanks........uuuugggg. I purchased a receiver for a AMD 65......from Global Trades......Im guessen I wont get it anytime soon......THANKS FOR THE REPLY GUYS AND GIRLS....

What Im saying is I thought by asking you people before I thouroughly fuck up an AMD 65 what receiver would be the best one would be very benificail and .......the smart thing to do...it appears though....like everything else in life, if you dont hob nob enough assholes ignore the little guy. Its ok though.....I have a Mak 90 milled that kicks ass and if that goes to shit....Ive always got my AR 15.

I have built two AMD's on OOW receivers. They are OK and pretty easy to get. I really hope Harlan at Nodakspud and Dan Coonan decide to make regular AK receivers, thier Yugo receivers are excellent. Can't tell ya aobut the others, those are the only kinds I've used. MD |
Thank you for the response.....I looked at the OOW receivers and thought the Global Trades looked alittle nicer.....Im sure I looked at the prices as well though Im not sure which was less expensive. Anyhow, I appreciate the response and am looking forward to getting the AMD built. Now........if I could just get the barrel out.

+1 I have a bunch of Globals, but I am waiting to see Harlen's new DCI's before I build my krinks and such. It would be nice to have a more authentic look. I have a couple of DCI blued Yugo's and they are works of art, and that is saying a lot when refering to a stamped AK receiver... |

I've read alot of good and bad about both Ewbanks and Armoray receivers. Since Global trades is big time back order, I called Joekens to place my order. Placed order on Monday, checked Joekens and Fedex delivered to my designated ffler on Thursday. Called and talked to the gentleman's wife to set up a time to pick up my two receivers and the rest of my order. Was told he was unavailable. It's now Saturday night, I'm still waiting for the call. Since this is Utah I can only assume that he is still in the bathroom jerking off to the panty ads in his copy of Cosmopolitan. I'll post what I get when he is through. |
