I have a friend....

He just picked up an "AK" for $200, it jammed, he called me, I asked "what kind"...he didnt know....I showed him a SAR-1 and a Polish underfold of mine.....He said that his was the same but different:

I cant even imagine what it is by his discription?  (I have not seen his AK, just heard his discription)

HIS:

Made in China with a "Vermont"? import mark
Same bolt/action, dust cover, FSB, and same basic sights as an AK, uses the standard AK mags...BUT

No pistol grip, long swooping trigger and the wood fore stock goes clear up to the gas port ....

WHAT THE HELL IS IT???

Any ideas?

Now all I need to sqeeze out of this thread is where to find fire control parts. My friend busted the trigger on his and I cant find squat to replace it.

Where's the break?
The long reach-back triggers are unique...

Try Kengs.  They are an importer of Chinese AK replacement parts.  I don't see that particular trigger listed but it's possible you could special order one.

Otherwise I would try Brownells, Numrich etc.

Id say the break is about mid trigger.
