Ive heard that Aces folding stock are the best....but I have one question.  When you fold them in the closed position do they lock closed?  Or do they just kinda hang there?

They dont lock when folded to the side of rifle, it locks when you use it as a stock.

"VodkaBierGin" is incorrect, the stock locks in both the open and folded position.  You can also have it LH fold or RH fold.

They do lock when folded but there is excess movement, it's not tight. The original folding mechanism was tighter but ACE redesigned it so the stock could be opened without depressing the button which in turn made the stock looser in the folded position ...

Not to jack your thread but I had the same question....In addition can you buy it so it does not fold?  Just buy a straight adapter?

Yes you can! No "straight" adapter needed, just don't get the folding mechanism. I have several ACE stocks on different kinds of guns. They're great!

yea I  think Im might be wrong, cant tell you for sure because I dont own it anymore. But you dont have to depress the spring mech to release it when its folded to the side. Its very sturdy so you shouldnt have any problems with it coming loose from the folded position.
