I noticed a small difference in some receivers....but I cant figure out why some receivers have it and others dont. Notice how there is a small bulge under the trigger pin in picture 1...as where the receiver is flat under the trigger pin in picture 2. Is there a certain model or brand that this feature is excusive to? 1.  2.  |
| It is my understanding that the bulge for the trigger pin was adopted at some time during the production of the AKM and later the AK74. My Romanian SAR-1 has it, as does my Arsenal SLR-105A1. If you are going to be a real, anal type stickler for historical accuracy on your gun, then if you are building an earlier AKM, it shouldn't have the bulge. If it is a later variation, it should. Both shoot fine so I say who cares? |
