I've pretty much reached the conclusion that no one likes wolf HP because it doesn't actually expand and (for some people) causes FTF. So my question is, why does wolf even bother to make HP when everyone would much rather have FMJ? It seems kind of weird that they would even continue to make HP, because of it's unpopularity and I also imagine that it might require slightly more work to make. Why do they waste their time making this stuff? Is there any  reason why someone might want this stuff?

most indoor ranges only let you shoot hp or sp. I blast all day long with the hp and never had a problem with it. it's good time commie fun

I think they're made in case the FMJs are out of stock!

I shot an HP through a 1/4 inch steel plate at 100yds once from an SKS. I doubt it will ever expand.

Hollow point ammo is legal in all states for hunting as most states don't allow fmj ammo for hunting. Most indoor ranges and a lot of outdoor ranges don't allow the use of fmj ammo but do allow hp ammo.

Most outdoor ranges in DFW require HP, so that is what I shoot. Doesn't really matter what happens on the berm but that the range Nazi see a hole or lead on the tip at the firing line. Whatever.

Pull a FMJ bullet and pull a HP you can see the difference then. HP is larger and boat tailed. I personally don't see the benefit of chargeing different prices when the are about the same in everyother way.

Most places I looked at the prices are the same. MY Ak's eat anything I put in them even the soft points. Now the 223 round they charge only $10 more HERE
