AFAIK any dealer that has an allocation of Imbel FAL receivers coming in have already pre-sold all of them. USA-made receivers like DSA and Entreprise will certainly be options but the cost will be higher. Entreprise will be set to sell alot of receivers (because DSA is nice, but expensive) if they can make decent quality ones; their past record has been questionable at times though. The Imbel receivers were great for home builders because they generally were in-spec and went together well. This ban is a double hit for FALs (kit barrels, Imbel receivers). My guess is a decent FAL build will cost in the $800 range within 6 months. |
I've heard good things lately about Enterprise. I've heard they've incorporated quite a few suggestions into the receiver. $800 - I think that's where we already are.  I think the price will be going up a tad higher IMHO. BTW - a good HTS seems to be the PIA to find these days. Speaking of kits : Here is my new izzy kit I've been working on. The receiver for this will be a IMBEL. (Have a couple in the safe). Note the authentic markings. I wish we had more of these markings on our AK's... anyway a few pics for you all!

I wish there was a FAL board here like the AR and AK side... The one i picked up is a Century Arms R1A1(L1A1). Fit and finish are great, Function is flawless. everything is good on it and its an INCH pattern. Picked it up for $400 with1-20 and 4-30 round mags. Seemed like a good deal to me. Just have to order some more 20's and im set for a while. KyARGuy |
Unfortunately yes. I don't go there very often anymore. I don't mind donating to boards at all, but I hate it when a board threatens it's member base! Especially one that has quite a few 'big' sponsors on board. I hope if she does shut it down the next time that membership base will make it's way over here... ie. setup just like the AK section including a fal 4 sale EE. |

Plus Jen is the one who broke open the coverup on Gary Gucciano and the fake seal. She was threatened by numerous big gun boards to shut her mouth or they would make big trouble for her in the courts and on the internet. She thumbed her nose at them and exposed The Gooch and thornton for the theives and liars that they are. OJF |

Hell, I don't know that I need a KIT, I just need an available replacement barrel for my STG58. Does DSA have them in stock (they're listed on their website)? And in regards to the falfiles, their members have LOTS of FAL knowledge. But what I don't understand, and it's always bugged me, is their front page. Its got 3 working links, two links to advertisers (I assume paying ones) but a BUNCH of DEAD LINKS on the left pane of the page. IIRC, before she changed the board around way back when, they were active. It's been what, like two years since the board got "upgraded" (or whatever)? And still: NO "Background" links. NO "Technical Information" links. NO "FAQs" links. NO "Gunsmithing" links. NO "Reviews" links. NO " Articles" links. NO "Image Gallery" links. WTF? |
