Any suggestions on a US made side folder? I really like the Ace, but $150 is a bit pricey. I don't like the looks of the Tapco and haven't heard much good about them. I have a Saiga convert. I guess I could swap out for another US part and add a foreign made stock, but I don't want anything crude.

The only decent ones I know of are the ACE units......other wise the Romanian wire folders are out there.

I haven't heard anything good abou the Tapco one either.

The metal stock just doesnt seem like it would be comfortable to me. I wonder why Ace doesn't use its signature foam sleeve?

It's actually not too bad.  It's a copy of the FN FAL and the Galil stock, actually I think they're from M249's, and I've found them to be very comfortable.

You could always wrap the stock with paracord........

1)  Would look cool.

2)  It would be comfortable.

3)  People would assume you know what you're doing........."dude........dude's got paracord on his shotgun.......man knows what he's doing!".

Hmmm, maybe someone will have one at Va Blastfest or the Chantilly show. I'd like to get one in my hands before I dish out $150.

My Saiga is 7.62 BTW.

Sorry, I see SAIGA and I automatically assume that means shotgun.

In that case, definitely don't worry about comfort.....I find the FAL tubular sidefolding stocks very comfy, even on a .308.
