Just got a new set of RPK furniture from Interordnance.  Any specific tricks to make the cosmo removal easier?  Its all over everything, and the upper handguard/gas tube is completely coverd in it.  Thanks!  (I'll post pics when I get it changed)

If it was still winter, I would ask you if you had a woodstove to set it near :)
I have always found that to be pretty effective in the past.

Another thing you might consider is placing the parts in a sunny spot on some foil. Keep wiping it down and you'll see a big difference.

Hope that helps!

I used WD40 on the metal parts and mineral spirits on the wood of my SKS, those items worked extremely well.  If you already have one, I hear a steamer works well also.

DOH! I forgot about that...yes, it does work VERY well. I have a little "Shark Steamer" that I used on some Nagants and Mausers in the past :)

I place my parts in the oven at 150 degrees.  Much will melt off, and the rest is pretty easy to wipe away after that.
