I've heard that you can get a left side selector lever for the AK, but I've never been able to find one.  Anyone know about this?

Is it possible to combine one of those with a swift safety lever?  A bit redundant, I know, but I think it would be handy.

We're getting a dodgy version done here in the sandbox for more than that  cost, any idea if it can be used for select fire? What would stop it being used in a stamped reciever?

keep in mind that with the left side safety you have to puull it back to fire, you won't be able to just swipe it off like on an AR.

Josh, all it is, is an attachment to the selector shaft that sticks down through the left side of the receiver.  You'd have to cut a slot in the lower left side of the receiver, and make a relief cut in the pistol grip to accomodate the lever.  Or, when you buy it from Kvar, get their new grip as well.

The selector and lever are made for a milled receiver, but the left side lever should be easily adaptable to a stamped receiver.

That's cool as hell.

With that and the last shot bolt hold open kit, I'm set. :)

What's the difference between a safety lever for a milled versus stamped receiver?

Here's what the receiver cut for the Galil left-side safety looks like:

Or get a Tantal kit.

Yeah, aren't the Tantal left side selectors worthless on a semi auto build, tho, as they only switch between full auto and burst?

I believe you are correct
