How many rounds have you put through your AK(one AK..not combined)

Any jams, FTF, etc?

About at what point does accuracy start to degrade?  1k, 5k, etc?

Asking......

How many rounds have you put through your AK(one AK..not combined)

Is a lot like asking, "How many miles have you put on your...... car.

Your going to get answers like this:

My Yugo sucked a piston on a hill after just 5000 miles.

My 1972 F250 has 1,500,000 and is still goinging strong.

Stuff like that....

Can you be more vague?

So putting about 1.5 k rounds through a semi auto AK isnt too big of a deal?  Should accuracy still be about the same as it was when it was new?

If you shoot it hard, ie alot of bumpfire, rapid fire the bbl will wear faster.
Don't worry about it, you need the practice!
When the bbl wears replace it. Or for the price of an AK just replace the entire rifle.

1 jam in 5.45 with RWS HP.  I would guess 5K rounds in 7.62 and 5.45 combined.

1.5k? it's not even broken in yet.  Heck I can't even shoot much more than 1K in a year with occassional trips to the range and a few blast fests with the ARFCOM crew every year.  I don't expect to ever wear out my beater Romanian WUM-1 AK.

I had one FTF with a severely beat up 40 round mag with hollow points, they were catching on the feed ramp, mag specific problem

I had a Mak90 that I put probably around 10 thousand rounds through. All Wolf, the old green laquer coated shit, with the red sealant around the primer and base of the bullet.

I never had a single malfunction with that rifle, I kept it sprayed with WD40 and cleaned it with bore cleaner and gun oil on occasion. Mostly I just used WD40 on it and wiped off the excess.

I used 40 and 30 round banana mags, and 75 round chinese drums in it. That bitch loved Wolf. It never had anything break, and never malfunctioned. Damn good rifle.

I still have a couple of Mak 90's but I sold that one cause it got so beat up.

Oh yeah, the barrel and everything else still had plenty of miles left on it. I belive I probably could have put 100 thousand rounds through it and nothing would have malfunctioned or broke.

I have maybe 500 rounds through my amd-65 screw build. no problems with the screws coming out or anything. I have had a few jams with this one 20 round hungarian mag that wasn't made to correct specs I have since filed on it some so its good to go now. It's just starting to wear in now, action is a little smoother it seems like.

I have a mak90 i bought 6 months ago but have only 200 rounds through it so far no problems of course.

I've put over 10k through my SLR 101.  Don't know the exact count.  When it was new I had one or two FTF.  Once it was broken in it has performed 100%.  Still holds groups as tight as an AK can.

I emailed Russia many months ago asking what the life expectency of one of their AK's is.  I was told that small parts are replaced if broken or worn and that the receiver is scraped when the barrel is worn out...they begin checking excessive barrel wear at 80k rounds....most get tossed closer to 100k rounds.   Some of the guys I do Cowboy Action with put 15k through a lever action in a couple of months and most have had their rifles for years....15k rounds is nothing although I'd bet the average gun owner doesn't shoot that much in a lifetime...to others, it's a few days at the range.

I've put about 2.5k through my SAR2 and it's just fine...dont worry about it, unless your going to put 10k rounds through it in 10mins don't sweat it...also if oyu take care of it(lube, clan ect.) it'll last that much longer
