I noticed a hammer retatrder on KVARS website, what is the purpose of this part?
I don't think my Romanian has this on its fire control parts.

yes its a f/a part but to answer your question
it slows the rate of fire in full auto
they come on the akm cause the rec isnt as strong as its older brother

It basically"times" the rounds so that they are fully chambered before the hammer strikes the primer, so the round doesn't blow up in the receiver ...

So all full auto Aks have this part?

When you bump fire a semi-auto the rnds go pretty close to full auto, do yoy have to worry about a blow out?

na if you look at the back of the carrier there is a lug sticking directly out the back wich will stop the hamer from hitting the pin if it isnt locked in

I never saw it happen on an AK or Galil, but I think there's alway's a chance(not that that would stop me from bump firing, LOL) ...

I did see it happen once with a M11. A 9mm round blew in the action and peppered my buddy's arm with shrapnel(he was left handed so it hit his right arm). I was actually surprised that the M11 didn't blow apart ...

I don't believe that the Chinese ever adopted hammer retarders. Guess they didn't think there was a problem.

Did the Yugoslavians have them? I can't be sure because CFS thoughtfully kept some of the parts from the FCG's in my kits. Anybody know?

if the fcg i got with my kit is yugo then yes
you can look at your trigger the slot is bigger and the hole for spring will be off to 1 side if its made to be used by a retard i mean with a retard
