I'm sure that this question has been addressed numerous times, but how difficult ( or even possible) is it to remove the hand guard on a Saiga and replace it with a Bulgarian or Russian polymer hand guard?

there is no hg retainer or slot
and most would say you need an ak smith to do it for you
cut to deep the bbl blowup in your face

Examples posted in the Russian forum. You can also vent the oem guard, and beer can/epoxy heat sheild it.
