How well did it work?

I have done it as far as the red line shows in the tutorial and I still have nasty slap.  Now my next option is to take some more off to the blue line.

Yes, I did it on my non-ban WASR.

It worked perfectly...not one trigger slap after puttting it back together.

It took me about 30-45 mins and cost me nothing.

The slap was extremely bad on my WASR10 so I did the work and I don't get the slap like before but it does happen everyonce in a while.  So I just replaced it with the TAPCO G2 Single Hook FCG and now slap is a thing of the past.

I did it and it reduced it but did not eliminate it so I bought a Tapco G2 trigger also. No more trigger slap.

Same exact story with me and my post-ban hi-cap WASR.

I think even the linx310 site says somewhere that it only works some of the time.

Tried it on my SAR1.  Still had the ocasional slap so I replaced the FCG with a Red Star Arms adjustable.  Great FCG.

The geometry on those CAI TG's is all over the place.  Converted WASR's are showing up new with Tapco triggers though, so maybe Century got with the program.

WinstonSmith, do you know anywhere on the internet that is selling the new WASRs with the Tapco G2? Thanks!

Not offhand, but there have been a few guys on the board here who bought new and found G2 parts.  Aimsurplus.com has some of the latest WASR's, mebbie give them a call and see if the triggers say tapco on them?  The markings are clearly visible without disassembly.

Dremmel and polish (ie cut) the old century FCG and it is as good (except for the sleeve) as the G2!

I did the work on my SAR1 and it got rid of most of it. There is still some slap once in a while. I went ahead and ordered a G2 trigger group to get rid of it for good.

I had nasty slap on the vepr's FSE FCG.

I did the slap fix and it worked somewhat.
