I picked up an ACR2 for the VEPR from Randy at BLACKJACK Buffers I placed the order on Sunday March 27th and recieved it on Wednesday March 30th that was very unexpected. Randy at BLACKJACK is a great guy to deal with, i've bought things in the past from him and been very hapy with his service. Lyle Kenney of ULTIMAK is a great guy also, taking time to awnswer all of my questions on the rail system in a very timely fasion and being more helpfull than necessary. The rail is very robust and has no defects in finish or machineing the way it is mounted is hard to explain and I don't have a digicam to post pics. but it is a rock solid system with miltiple bracket's for most AK's. There are no bracket's for the VEPR as it attaches with the existing sling stud screw which is used to hold on the regular VEPR handguard. Lyle was trying to get a scerw made for the system, but the company that was to supply them overcharged them and still didn't get it right. This screw would sit below the rail's and be out of the way, but as of now that is not an opption. If a screw doesn't come out soon i'll just tap the sling stud lug in a common size screw and then use a low profile screw that will sit below the rail sirface.hed I've read alot of post's on other borads that say this rail system it to expensive, well trust me it's worth it. Plus that's what income tax money is for. Alot of people think an AK isn't worth it to put on these kind of accessories, but what makes the AR more suitable is it because it's more expensive I don't know. I think my VEPR and AR are worth it. Well i'm not very good at this review thing but I thought some people would like to know about the rail if they were interested in purchaseing one. Later |
