I was actually doing an image search on "Elephant Guns" on google and found this picture and this short memo

"From the first and unsuccessful expedition we see two hunter's assistants carrying the ponderous gun commissioned by Gont Chubb to slay the Hamster Rat. The arms manufacturer Speedle & Sons created this weapon from sketches drafted by Gont's wife Murvel. Though the gun was designed with as liitle "kick-back" as possible, one of Speedle's sons was lamed during testing of a newly milled barrel. The gun was soon retired due to its inaccurate and dangerous nature."

All this for a freaking Hamster!!!

I think it is called a punt gun.  It was used to fire from the decks of shipps against large flocks of  birds.

I believe it's your standard issue "English Pole Vaulting" Gun.

Used during the 1883 "Fruitcake" Wars.

It could get the user out of trouble real fast when he ran out of ammo.

Could "vault" him over fences and out of harms way..

Here's a picture of Herbert Smidlap testing one from the Royal Sherbert Collection.

That's serial number 1 on the next Goons Network group buy.

That's Ho Dung Rant and Redstar carrying it.  The only thing you do not see is Dthors big fat ass riding it.  It's no secret that he relies on the board membership to carry him.

Pyro's right. It's a punt gun. They were used for fowl hunting, using a 'punt' (particular kind of boat, flat-bottomed) to get out on the lake or river.

Chinese heavy rifle.

I've seen one at Aberdeen Proving Ground Museum that was brought back after the Boxer Rebellion.

The projectile weighed something like 1/2 a pound.

The one I saw was flintlock.

I sure as hell wouldn't pull the trigger on it!

Too bad it's not a video.  I love to see what the recoil would do to that guy.
