neither will i.

even my akt98 romanian .22 lr calibre ak74 training rifle has a redstararms fire control group in it.

plus one for RSA trigger. I dont remember but it seems as if while I was putting it in my AK I noticed it looked like it had been EDM machined which is pretty cool.

I have been considering a RSA trigger, but I have a SAM7 with a great trigger and I have to wonder if a RSA trigger will actually provide any improvement.  Any thoughts??

Same here. Even the Romak III has one.

Drop an e-mail to Ken at RedStar Arms. You WONDER if it will make a difference?????

Take my story for example......

I purchased an SAR-1 a while back, I went out and shot it and of course it had trigger slap. I did everything I could to stop the trigger slap including dremmeling off my disconnecter to try and help the situation. It wasnt to my satisfaction so I took the advice of another member here and bought the RED Star Arms trigger group.

I installed the FCG and ran into some problems, some of my problems were...the selector would not go all the way down, and once I had that solved I ran into a couple problems with the rifle double-tapping. I was very upset but these problems I ran into I now blame on my lack of knowledge of the AK-47 and the FCG. I wrote a topic on this website expressing my frustration, within a day I was contacted personally through E-Mail by the man himself, Ken from RSA. He explained to me that the problems are common and he understands my frustration. He asked me if I would like to mail him the rifle and that he would take care of the rest. I figured it couldn't hurt since the rifle was sitting in my Gun safe anyways.

I mailed the rifle to him, I offered to pay him for return shipping and for taking the time out of his busy schedule to fix my problem. He declined the money and said that it was not at all necessary. Within a WEEK the rifle was back in my hands, not only did he adjust the trigger pull to have a double stage break at exactly 4.5 lbs. he also polished ALL contacting parts including the bolt.

With service like this why would you look anywhere else, sure.....you could get a G2 FCG but when you get this FCG perfect there is nothing like it.

I also receiver a RSA FCG with my new SEAKII, I payed close attention to what he had done and was able to get pretty close to how he set the first RSA FCG.

To sum it up........GET ONE ........NOW!

Great FCG.  I have a SAR3 with the RSA unit and a SA85M with the Tapco G2.  Now I wish I had just spent the extra $50 to put a RSA in the SA85M.

Great design, I wish they would make an equivalent for the Saiga12.

you are correct.

the red star arms fire control parts are manufactured from tool steel billets and individually wire electro-discharge machined to net shape. they are then precisely heat treated (remember the one bad batch of heat treated parts that resulted in broken disconnectors?) for maximum strength AND hardness. thread tapping is done by hand.

all pivot holes are precision reamed to size.

these are NOT your daddy's investment cast pieces parts!

the rsa parts are manufactured BETTER than the cast stuff that the russians put out these days.

i'm waiting for the day rsa builds their own kalashnikov rifle. knowing ken, ron and randall...it will be more accurate, smoother and more beautiful than anything the commies ever built.

I have one on my milled Bulgarian and Bulgarian kit built 74. There is no substitute. Now if they would only make one for my FAL G1

I usually only feel this proud when I hold my two grandchildren.

Thank you for comments on our system.  It was a long road with many bumps and changes.  No pun intended.

Some one IM me with a saiga 12 and I will test install a trigger for free.  If it works keep it no charge.  If not we will at least know what must be done.

Some one said G1.........

Look for me in Vegas.  I will be the one in trench coat with pants legs tied on below the knees.

Thanks again for all the support and believing they would work when many did not.

I see. Definetely precision parts then. Aside from the function then given all of the machine ops these are definetely a good bang for the buck. You guys must really have the machining process down to a science to produce and sell them so cheaply. Well done

you have NO idea! heheh!

i still don't see how ken makes a profit on them. figure in packaging (ok, he bribes randall with a date with miss rsa), printing instructions, tossing in an allen wrench, shipping, black oxide, advertising and marketing...

i'll tell you all this much (without giving away too much), the product development effort that went into this project was well into the 5-figure range.

No kidding. I dont run an EDM machine but we have them where I work and I know what all is involved. They take ahwile to cut can really make some nice precise shapes(at least a good EDM can). Not to mention the cost of the machine alone!
