| I've been having trouble with my AK-74. About ten percent of the time I'll have a empty case jammed in the action while another round is being fed. What could cause that? |

What kind of ammo are you using? Whenever an autoloader of mine fails to extract or eject, I try running some different ammo to see if the problem still exists. You're probably using Wolf. That stuff is crap. The old rule, "you get what you pay for" applies very much to guns & ammo. There is a reason Wolf costs half as much as other plinking grade ammo like Federal,Winchester or S&B. That's also you'll see plenty of Federal, Winchester & S&B brass on the ground at your local gunrange even though it costs so much more. Unless you built the AK-74 and did something wrong you shouldn't have problems. Those rifles tend to be reliable. If you had an AR I'd say make sure it's clean, but your gun should even function if it's dirty. Start with ammo. |
Are you serious? I am not trying to be a dick, but you can't really be trying to say that Wolf ammo is no good in commie guns? That does not compute. I have shot thousands and thousands of rounds of Wolf through my Ak's and SKS's, and have never had any ammo related problems. On the AR side of the house, they come down on Wolf ammo pretty hard, and that is understandable considering that so many of those guys are using rifles that were built far from the military specs for the caliber, that is not the case with commie guns. Wolf ammo was designed to work in AK's and SKS's, it is more or less the exact saem quality ammo that the russian military uses. |
