I will have a Mojo sight in a couple days. I need to get the rear sight off my Rommy. Anyone ever removed one?

All tips and advice appreciated.

Thanks.

It's not too bad if you have two people.  What I did is raise the rear sight up so it was vertical and then applied downward pressure to the retainer clip with a flathead screwdriver while my brother pulled the sight to the rear.

I might have to invest in the Campy tool though being as I plan on doing more builds in the future.

heheh! i electroless nickel plated those just for you guys!!!!

one guy can do the job with a screwdriver...BUT, BE VERY CAREFULL!!! stabbing yourself sucks.

the rifle should be on the floor setting on its' pistol grip and muzzle. position the the rifle between your legs, muzzle pointing away from you.

flip the sight leaf about 60° up from the horizontal.

position a screw driver blade on top of the leaf spring, just in front of the leaf's pivot point. use one hand and your chest to press down on the screw driver handle.

use your other hand to guide the leaf up the installation track.
