Which trigger should I get and why? The G2 or the RSA. Which one do you guys have and why do you like it?

i am very happy with the g2. i have them in 3 of my rifles. i also have the rsa in one rifle. the rsa is a little better but i took a chance on a g2 for $30 and i am glad i did. you cant beat the g2 for the money. they have a great pull and easy install.

RSA, Ken is great. He personally adjusted the trigger on my cheap romanian AK for free to my preference which was double stage breaking at a crisp 4.5lbs, even polished all of the contacting points so it was smooth as silk.

Also, as far as I know RSA offers the only fully adjustable FCG made from solid billets of steel.

I love my G2. Its a sweet trigger.

G2 is good, but if money isn't a consideration then the RSA wins hands down. I have one in an Arsenal, Inc. SLR-101 adjusted so that it would be able to go head to head with my AR triggers any day.

I was going to get an RSA trigger but went ahead and got a G2. I like it. Nice pull. I have never tried an RSA....I'm sure it is better. But at the time I didn't have the cash so I settled.

the g2 is a good trigger. so is the k-var/arsenal set. neither of them falls in the same catagory as the redstararms trigger.

for combat, i would insist on only commie parts.

for punching holes in paper, it's redstararms for me.

of course, i'm biased. i had a small part in developing the rsa units...but the real magic is from the hands of ron power (a master gunsmith) and the business saavy and passion of ken roberts.

Half of mine have RSA, clearly best.
One has an early Gordon, before Tapco took over and added the sleeve. It was pretty good for $30. I have not shot a G2 yet.

Just looking at all these replies, you would think that Red Star Arms is paying off all of Ohio to be their shills. .

I kind of wish I would have gotten an RSA...not sure how badass they are but if this many people like them....   An adjustable trigger definetly isn;'t needed..but hey...neither is the gun

G2.

Very affordable.

Maybe if I tried a RSA I would say otherwise, but I don't see the purpose of  an adjustable trigger in a commie rifle.  Buy a expensive trigger for your AR or remington 700.   Buy a G2 for your AK.

For me, the FCG is usually the first thing that I will spend money on when upgrading a rifle. Compared with adjustable triggers for the AR, it's not really an expensive proposition. But like you said - until one has actually tried a properly tuned RSA trigger, it's hard to make a comparison.

The guys at RSA are also top notch to deal with.  Something few companies can claim.

heheh! yeah...all of us are just cockholster shills for rsa!

seriously, there is nothing wrong with the taqpco (old g2 set), the new g2, k-var's...heck, the old blue ridge precision set was really sweet.

i'm biased, as i said, because i work with ken roberts. he, ron power and randall power are just plain old good folks.

but...of more import to my when i'm BEHIND that trigger is how that rifle or pistol shoots. the rsa trigger allows me to get the max out of the ak...and hopefully not humiliate myself too badly when i retrieve my target!

anything that works is good, though.

we don't delete posts or pitch a bitch because something else works as well or better for the other guy. i've even seen ken sit down and wrench on non-rsa kalashnikovs and so will i. just ask and help is on the way.

Another Ohio shill opening his cockholster for RSA. Got 5 of them and they're excellent. Also have a G2 in a 74 and it is an excellent choice. In fact, the first time I fired the weapon it caught me by suprise it broke so clean with a VERY light pull. The term "hair trigger" describes it perfectly. Either way, you can't go wrong with any of the FCG's described here.
