Is it legal to remove the stock from AMD65?

I'm assuming your addressing whether a rifle with the rear stock removed is legal for the Overall length requirements?
You might want to post this in the "Legal Discussions" under the General Discussions forums if no one has a better idea.

I don't believe so as that would make it an AOW requiring proper paperwork and tax stamp($5) from the ATF. That's my take on it anyhow.
