[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Part Count??

What is the part count requirement on custom built AK's?? I am wanting to build a AMD but want to keep most of it original like the grips.

im pretty new to all this so please be patient with me

so I only need 5 U.S. parts because my gun only has 15 922r parts and thus brings it down to 10

right?

Or (6) US parts if you have a foreign muzzle device.

They make a US muzzle break for those. It also has the extension on it. Then you could get a trigger group which is 3 parts. Then you could get a gas piston...hmm what else. You would need one more thing. Grips would be the easiest but you don't want to change those. I guess you could just get a bunch of TAPCO US mag followers. That would work.

You forgot the receiver, that would be your 6th part
