Krinker Plinker

I've been wanting to put together some kind of suppressed .22LR. Would this be a worthy choice, guys?

I wouldn't do it, that's just me though.

$250 and you have to UNDO the fake can ; barrel is probably a cheap one.

Probably better off going with these guys for a suppressed barrel,  and
buy whatever stock you want.

They shorten and thread bbls also)

i like it...as a toy. it woud be fun to shoot, imo.

however, when it comes to rimfires, i prefer to have something useful and accurate.

i would buy a rifle can, threaded 1/2-28 and insist ion stainless steel material...no aluminum (ya never know when you'll want to screw it onto a full auto).

as to the rifle...i would start with a bolt action squirrel/varmint shooter such as an old winchester 67, cugir m69, ihzmash biathlon crankbolt, cz 452, remington 510, etc. have the bbl. threaded by someone that KNOWS suppressors.

if you really wanted a 10/22. just buy a gun show beater and order a threaded pipe from one of better bbl. manufacturers and headspace/square the bolt yourself...maybe even drop in a red star arms fire control group or get spendy with volquartsen pieces parts.

Thanks for the replies, guys. Yeah, it would be for (as the name implies) plinking only. I'm getting an AAC Pilot suppressor and am planning on getting at least two rimfires for it--a Walther P22 handgun and a bolt-action rifle of some sort. I just thought of the Krinker Plinker as a fun way to throw some ammo downrange and figured I might add it to my list. I really don't want the 10/22 to be my main suppressed .22LR rifle, just something to play around with. My main one will be bolt-action, as I don't want the actions sounds of a semi-auto rifle. I want it to be as quiet as possible.

Now when I get the Kuehl dedicated .22LR upper for my registered M16, I'll go with the SRT Comanche .22LR suppressor, which can handle full-auto fire. I deinitely wouldn't trust the AAC Pilot for that. And I'll definitely have a professional thread my barrels. One little bit off on the threads and you could have a baffle strike. And I definitely don't want to waste any of my cans!
