| I just won an auction for 13 HK G3 lightweight mags in an ammo can, then I received a message from ebay telling me the auction is null and void due to ebay policy! The bastards.....................................OK,I'm over it.I just e-mailed the seller and told him that I'm still interested if he is. |

Great! That means the seller doesn't pay a PENNY to ebay for listing the auction! They won't cancel the seller's account for it, either. Not usually. They want their money for the other auctions he puts up that ARE allowed by their rules. I listed a surplus M2-2 FLAMETHROWER a week or so ago. Ebay cancelled the auction and it sold for about eight grand anyway in a private transaction. I was in direct contact with every person who bid on it while the auction was up. Ebay gets not one penny when they could have made several hundred bucks by letting the auction happen. Dumbasses! They're DUMBASSES! CJ |

That guy that was seling them on Ebay, also posts his mag here for sale... www.ak47.net/forums/topic.html?b=7&f=92&t=214760 I just bought ten from him... |
I've done much the same several times. As a buyer and a seller. Fuck eBay and PayPal! (and CCA)! |

The great thing about that flamethrower deal is, ebay's fee for the auction alone (to start it, not the final value fee) was over 80 bucks! I got three or four days' worth of free advertising via ebay, WITH a dozen pictures, and they then cancelled and lost every cent of what they would have made. They've outsmarted themselves! That doesn't seem to take much effort. But what else can you expect? They're in California! My reply to them concerning the unfair cancellation was not a particularly nice one:
YES, I sent them that in reply to their notice. CJ |
