| OK, guys, I know this is a newbie question, but I would like to know. Is there any way to avoid the scratch marks that occur when moving the safety up and down on an AK or when moving the handguard release lever? I am used to owning handguns where scratches are considered a problem. Can these scratches be avoided? |

you can put a piece of hrat shrink tubing over the selector lever, but it will need replaced at frequent intervals. a turn or two of tape will also help prevent the scrstch and quiet the noise made by actuating the safety/selector. me? i just take this as part of the kalashnikov experience. |
