Hey Guys... I am considering an SKS as a range plinker... inexpensive rifle & inexpensive ammo... Any opinions on SKS rifles overall? Worth the $$?

I dont think you can really go wrong with an SKS. A cheap rifle but its very reliable. I own a Yugo SKS and would like to buy another.

I remember buying them when they were $60.00, and it is still one of the most reliable machines I have ever seen. I wish they cost that much now.
You can never go worng with an SKS.

The Yugo SKS rifles are a great value...I got one in excellent condition and won't trade it because I love it. It's cheap, it works, and it's rugged as hell!! Highly recommended

Great rifles for blasting at the range, and the yugos are really priced right. Don't worry too much about aftermarket garbage, just get a bag of stripper clips and a pile of ammo and go to town!

If you got a C&R get one of the Yugos, If your paying voer $200 for an SKS, Id say drop the extra and get an AK.

I have a ChiCom and a Yugo, they are very well built and a blast to plink with.
