I am very new to AK's so help needed. has anyone had one of these build and what kind of break did you use to make barrel 16" and where to find parts needed to build

I believe there is an extension that is the be threaded on and then tacked or welded in place to bring it up to the 16" minimum. I am not sure where to get it, but I know someone here knows. Welcome to the world of AK's.

Troy Sellars has the extension you need for your AMD-65.

I went with an AMD63 for the full 16" bbl. If you prefer the 65, get an extended brake that is one piece. The bbl to brake intermediate pieces are more welds than they are worth IMHO.
