That's right folks, I am now EVIL!! I just picked up my 1st AK (well, my second, but I was an idiot when I bought my 1st one). I got a SAR-1 that looks to be unfired and in excellent condition. The bore is nice and shiny and the crown is flawless. The gas block is straight but the front sight is just barely canted. I would say less than 3 degrees at the most. Is this bad? Anyway, the thing looks great. The wood is perfect as is the finish. I have never seen one that looked this good. It came with the cleaning rod and kit and 2 30 round mags (1 Romak and 1 Chicom). I think I like the Chicom mag better. Where can I get some more for cheap? I am trying to clean all of the damnable cosmoline off of it right now. I had to stop to regain feeling in my arms and make a run to Wally World for brake cleaner and Hoppe's. Which bore brush should I get for this thing? I will try and get some pictures up tonight or tomorrow and a range report soon after. |
