Hey guys, I am looking at a redfield red dot 28mm for 138.00 it has the adjustable reticle and i was wondering if anybody has bought one or knows anything about them. I want ot put it on my poly and mak 90 as needed. I know there are better ie eotech and aimpoint but they also cost twice as much. whats your opinion? Thanks

For a "combat" weapon I find I need at least 40mm for a tube style optic.

I have a very nice 30mm, I think it is a Bushnell or Burris, it was only about $80 something from Natches. I like it, but had to relagate it to hunting use as it was to small to pick up on quickly.

Other may have different ideas on what they like as for size, but I need a bigger FOV and a small dot.

my opinion...buy the kobra and and com-block optic mounting rail for each of your rifles.

normally, i am in love with redfield products. i own one of their excellent telescopic sights and a slew of their mechanical apeture sights for my match rifles...but, i'm not to sure about the redfield red dot sight.

the kobra is a known entity. it'd damn near bombproof and functions very well under all the conditions i have come up against at the range (fog, bright sunshine, various targets and backgrounds, all kinds of distances, etc.).
